wapm is the package manager for WebAssembly. It was created in 2019 as an open source project to help WebAssembly developers easily share packaged modules of code.
The wapm Registry is a public collection of packages of open-source code for WebAssembly, front-end web apps, mobile apps, servers, and the countless other needs of the WebAssembly community.
wapm is the command line client that allows developers to install and publish those packages.
Wasmer, Inc. is the company that hosts and maintains all of the above.
Wasmer, Inc. was founded in 2018 and is dedicated to the long term success of the WebAssembly community, which includes the success of the open-source WebAssembly and wapm projects.
At Wasmer, Inc. we do three things to support this goal:
Run the open source registry as a free service.
Build tools and operate services that support the use of WebAssembly modules
Wasmer's mission is to make WebAssembly accessible to everyone.
Our offices are in downtown San Francisco, California.
